Congress is out of session,* offices around town are staffed at half-level, and the pace of DC life generally slows in August. That's kind of the case at DCPA+CJ, as well.

Kind of the case – in this case – means we're going to ramp down the editorial comment from now until September, or maybe even until Tuesday, Sept. 8. BUT, we're shooting for bringing you healthy 500 jobs (and resources) in the public affairs and communications jobs arena this August. As usual, we'll concentrate mostly on the DC area – but we'll also bring you a few far-flung listings, as well.

So, to get us off to a quick start, here's some Saturday bonus coverage – with a slightly-higher-than-usual mix of online/web related opportunities thrown in:

1) Association of Academic Health CentersProgram Associate

2-3) Center for Biological Diversity:
4-7) Center for Studying Health System Change:
8) Center for Inspired TeachingDevelopment Intern (scroll down) – part time – Aug. 2009-May 2010 – $5/hr.

* It seems our assertion is only half-accurate (or, put another way: wrong). See comments for the whole truth.

Just for the record: The House is in summer recess, but the U.S. Senate is in session for another week.
