The internship will be located in Washington, DC and will be a 12 week duration. Interns will be responsible for a specific project to be completed within the 12 week timeframe and will be required to present their projects at the end of the 12 week period to an audience (in person or via webinar). The project will aid in developing the intern’s interest and competence in international affairs and trade. The project will focus on global food trade and safety laws.

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's studies in International/Foreign Affairs, Political Science, Agribusiness, Veterinary Science or Agriculture related field with anticipated graduation date between June 2014 and June 2015.

• 3.0+ GPA Qualified candidates

• Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Eli Lilly and Company does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H 1B status) for this employment position.

• Strong interest in international affairs, public policy, government or political affairs.

• Must be a Junior or Senior by credits.

• Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work in cross-
functional teams. Strong analytical skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel

• Some experience with food animals / companion animals.

• Part-time or full-time internship available
