Hopkins always lists these but never hired. They also use every head Hunter in the area and repost these. Does any one know why?

FWIW, I've always had good experiences w/ folks from JHU sending me listings (in additions to one I proactively just pull from their career listings on occasion).

I'm reminded of a commenter who on day posted something along the lines of "[well known think tank] never hires people who just blindly apply; you have to know someone" - when, I'd received "thanks you" email a day or two previously from someone who had applied to a job at same think tank he'd found here, and had got the job.

Good luck and keep at it, and please share the blog w/ your peers & pals.
