Hey Anon - I just noted what's in their description there, which highlighted because it was at least a little fun/different. No doubt opinions will vary, but DCPA+CJ is happy to bring you jobs from all parts of the political continuum and ideological spectrum.

DC-based trade association seeks in-house meetings planner to coordinate and manage all aspects of 30+ meetings per year, from seeking venues to sending invites to ordering swag.

About us: Small, nimble, trade association focused on technology policy. Our activities include education about tech issues on Capitol Hill, bringing technologists to DC to talk with policy-makers, doing in-district briefings around the country, and throwing parties for our friends.

About you: Experienced meeting planner who’s done group travel planning, RFP management, venue contracts, and can set up small event A/V by yourself. You come to us with a list of vendors for food, supplies, printing, etc., that you trust. You’ve used CRM and marketing (email software), and know how to herd a few cats to get what you need from other members of the team. Must be able to travel on occasion. Experience in meeting planning is a MUST; applicants without relevant experience will not be considered.

The Department of Labor is looking for a digital-savy intern to join our digital media team!

The intern should have a grasp on digital media concepts, such as social media, analytics, website development, and content writing and editing. S/he must have good organizational skills and the ability to assist on multiple projects. S/he will be responsible for assisting with implementing and monitoring projects as a vital member of the digital media team. The intern should be passionate about digital media, self-motivated, ambitious and demonstrate the ability to strive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications of the right candidate include, but are not limited to:

· Basic understanding of social media platforms

· Basic understanding of various digital tools and their purpose

· Basic understanding of website analytics

· Basic understanding of content creation, curation and editing

· Familiarity with AP style
