--5+ years working directly with media

--Experience managing multiple clients or projects simultaneously

--Enjoys leading a small team and constant collaboration
--Strong core communication skills including media relations, writing, editing and persistence
--Excellent speaking and writing skills to handle daily pitching and reporting
--An established rolodex of press contacts, both mainstream and in DC, across broadcast, print and online; including news, business, lifestyle/culture, tech and entertainment
--Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick learner with new software
--Eager to work on a small but growing team, brings energy, enthusiasm and desire to support a
--Comfortable jumping between staffing a client for an event, pitching someone for a story and writing a strategy document (in one day)
--Desire to over-deliver rather than meet expectations
--Creative thinking and a problem-solving attitude

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

--2-4 years working in PR
--Ability to work with others in a small team environment
--Strong core communication skills including media relations, writing, editing and persistence
--Ability to build and/or maintain very organized document templates and databases that can easily be updated by others on the team
--Excellent speaking and writing skills to handle daily pitching and reporting
--A growing rolodex of press contacts - both mainstream and in DC - across broadcast, print and online; including news, business, lifestyle/culture, tech and entertainment
--Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick learner with new software
--A strong understanding of utilizing online and network-based tools for research, asset archiving and database purposes
--Eager to work on a small but growing team, brings energy, enthusiasm and desire to support a growing business
--Social media savvy
--Detail oriented
--Desire to over-deliver rather than meet expectations

Rubin Meyer Communications - Communications Intern

Rubin Meyer Communications is looking for a part-time intern for the Spring 2016 semester. Our ideal candidate is current undergraduate/graduate student in public relations, communications, media, journalism, or related program.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and updating media lists

• Drafting press releases, social media content and other writing assignments.

• Proofreading copy

• Supporting client events

• Research

• General administrative tasks and office support

Our hire will have a strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media is required.
