You will be challenged by assignments working with top-level news media, Congress and all levels of government. Experience with large aviation clients, government relations and legal clients a plus but not mandatory. The ability to quickly learn those and other industry cultures is mandatory.

Responsibilities
• Support day-to-day activities of client campaigns, including but not limited to interacting with and researching news media, monitoring daily clips, updating media lists, identifying news hooks, drafting news releases, writing tweets, blogging, and problem solving in a team environment, etc.
• Provide comprehensive research and proposal/pitch preparation to aid kglobal with new business opportunities.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
• High energy and intellectual curiosity a must.
• Tenacity, ambition, organizational talents are “must haves.”
• Demonstrated experience with traditional media relations, including but not limited to: building media lists, drafting pitch materials, and pitching media.
• Basic understanding of the fundamentals of public affairs, public relations, government relations, marketing and branding, including digital media.
• Very strong research, writing and editing skills.
• Former journalism experience is desirable.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
