Position Summary
The Intern will support the firm’s leadership in executing communications campaigns for a variety of public policy clients in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. The intern will conduct legislative research for the firm's clients, monitor and cover Congressional hearings, compile daily news clips, build media lists, and draft communications materials. The intern will be responsible for handling some administrative and office duties.

HDMK provides expertise in managing successful public policy campaigns, developing media strategies, and helping organizations and businesses bring attention to their issues in today’s ever crowded public arena.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
• Communications experience a plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects in a fast paced environment
• Effective time management skills
• Strong research, writing and communication skills
• Resourcefulness, drive and initiative
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under considerable pressure and tight deadlines
