2017 Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman - Internship Opportunities

The Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman is seeking candidates to fill 3 seasonal positions. The internship period begins in September & continues through the bowl in late December. While each intern is assigned to a specific responsibility, interns will maintain overlapping responsibilities and are expected to provide support to all areas of the organization. Interns for the Military Bowl may also be asked to assist with other events that are staged by the bowl committee or related entities.

Requirements

Applicants should be self-motivated & well-organized, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Successful applicants will exude a positive attitude, be a team player, work well under pressure and maintain flexibility. All applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications & have experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Communications and Marketing Assistant
•Write content for the bowl’s website, DC Touchdown Club website and bowl e-newsletter.
•Assist with the design, copy and production of the bowl’s media guide, flip card and fan guide.
•Respond to posts or comments to bring value to user’s interactions with the Military Bowl, DC Touchdown Club, and Patriot Point.
•Post updates, news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content.
•Research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our fans and posts it to our Facebook and Twitter page in a manner that invites conversation and interaction.
•Updates Facebook and Twitter accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from Military Bowl, DC Touchdown Club, and Patriot Point activities and events.
•Grow online social networks by increasing fanbase and interactions.
•Organize Bowl Week media relations operations at the media hotel and at the stadium.
•Assist in the daily operation of the Military Bowl Office through general administrative duties.
• Assist with a variety of organizational tasks related to Military Bowl-related events and surrounding team and fan events.

Ticket Operations Assistant
• Fulfill internal orders & comp tickets.
• Organize and ship of all group, suite & internal request tickets.
• Respond to fans with ticket related questions/troubleshooting.
• Assist w/ corp. partner ticket needs.
• Provide analysis on all ticket related products as needed.
• Support internal requests for ticketing related data.
• Act as a customer service contact and help resolve day of game ticketing issues.
• Generate and maintain accurate ticketing reporting as needed, including on-sale reporting and reconciliation.
•Operate Gameday Box Office.
•Assist in the daily operation of the Military Bowl Office through general administrative duties.
• Assist with a variety of organizational tasks related to Military Bowl-related events and surrounding team and fan events.

Digital Media Assistant
•Organize archive of photos, videos & other media sources.
•Produce/edit video projects for social media, website, bowl events and in-game video boards.
•Produce Touchdown Club Player of the Week videos
•Produce/edit graphic elements for social media, bowl website, bowl events and in-game video boards.
•Research best practices with social media and video production/campaign development.
•Assist with a variety of organizational tasks related to Military Bowl-related events and surrounding team and fan events.

Additional Info: Internship commitment is approx 25-30 hours per week, some weekend commitment with an increase in hours closer to the game in December. Due to the timing of the game, interested candidates will be asked to work during the December holidays.
Internship includes stipend. Preference shown to candidates who can obtain course credit for a graduate or undergrad program.
