Love movies? Allied Global Marketing is seeking an ACCOUNT COORDINATOR. A good candidate is a dynamic professional and strategic thinker to assist with publicity and promotional campaigns for major motion pictures in the Washington, DC office of a leading, national agency. Creating innovative events and executing flawless campaigns for clients in the entertainment industry is a daily standard along with social media savvy and relationship marketing. This is an ENTRY LEVEL position, suitable for candidates with up to two years of relevant experience.

Allied Global Marketing is an award-winning agency with 21 offices across the country. From holiday blockbusters to indie hits, we represent the biggest names in Hollywood, including Warner Bros, Disney, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures and more.

The ideal candidate is resourceful and motivated, able to anticipate potential problems, and knows when to ask for help. He or she is thorough, able to manage multiple tasks, and thrives under deadlines and pressure. We are seeking a proactive, positive thinker to contribute to our team. This person must be an exceptional communicator via email, phone, and in-person - and all at the same time. The world of publicity is not a typical 9-to-5 job. Public Relations Responsibilities:
· Cultivate relationships with film critics, columnists, feature writers, bloggers, editors, television/radio hosts, producers and reporters to assist with securing film features and reviews
· Assist in managing local celebrity interviews, press tours and publicity stunts
· Help to develop publicity angles and monitor hits to ensure extensive media coverage
· Create social media initiatives that complement campaigns and drive awareness online

Marketing & Promotional Responsibilities:
· Negotiate trade with television, radio, print and online partners for coverage
· Organize local events, screenings and costume character tours to create buzz
· Develop promotions with retailers to reach target demographics
· Manage grassroots and word-of mouth activity at high traffic festivals and events
· Compile reports with photos, promotional ads and collateral for clients on a weekly basis
· Research and develop relationships with new promotional partners in various mediums

General Responsibilities include:
· Develop strong client relationships and always meet client deadlines and exceed expectations
· Manage invoicing and charges in online billing system
· Know the Washington, DC marketplace and provide great insight and advice to the team

Qualifications:
· At least 1-2 years of experience in marketing, publicity and/or promotions field
· Bachelor degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred
· Incredibly strong organizational skills with precise detail in prioritizing multiple projects
· Stellar written and verbal communications skills to effectively influence press, promo partners, general public audience and all levels of internal staff
