Job Description:

The Bockorny Group currently is seeking an experienced, detail oriented, full-time staff assistant to join its team. Integral to the firm, the staff assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist all assigned lobbyists with efficiency, accuracy and dedication. The staff assistant will perform daily tasks as well as long and short term projects for clients and assigned lobbyists. Duties include, but are not limited to:

-- Monitoring daily congressional hearing schedules for firm practice areas
-- Preparing legislative and/or hearing summaries
-- Assisting firm principals with client research and presentations
-- Scheduling congressional staff meetings for client fly-ins
-- Generating and updating congressional contact lists
-- Preparing and submitting lobby disclosure reports
-- Assisting with monthly expense reporting
-- Scheduling of conference calls and use of conference room
-- General administrative duties (i.e., maintain organization and inventory of the supply room and kitchen, printer/fax maintenance, faxing/copying/scanning, etc.)
-- Answering phones


-- Must be organized, efficient and dedicated
-- Must possess the ability to work in a team setting
-- Must possess a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (government, public affairs, communication or related degree preferred, but not required)
-- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
-- Website maintenance not required, but a plus.
-- Must possess a high level of professionalism
-- Capitol Hill or campaign experience preferred
