Gibraltar Associates' D.C. office is seeking spring semester interns (starting January 2013). Members of our intern program will work with multinational clients on public policy, public relations and brand management projects. The ideal candidates bring outstanding written and oral communications skills, an interest in public relations and policy, as well as strong academic, technology and research skills. The successful candidates will provide administrative support to firm principals by conducting media and issue research, project and event support, report generation and various office tasks.

Commitment: Must be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least three months. Preference is for interns who can commit 35-40 hours per week.

Compensation: GA offers both paid and unpaid internships. Compensation is hourly based on experience. GA is willing to work with students to provide internships for academic credit.

Qualifications:

· Enrolled in or graduated from undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field with a minimum 3.1 GPA

· Ability to prioritize work assignments and contribute to projects under tight deadlines

· Superior time-management skills and proven ability to execute long-term projects

· Avid interest and understanding of news media and the interplay between public perception and public policy

· Proactive with a strong work ethic

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
