NeighborWorks America is seeking a Spring media relations academic intern. The intern’s role is key to the NeighborWorks strategic plan goal of increasing visibility for NeighborWorks and the network. The intern will work closely with the 11 network members that are participating in the 2017 NeighborWorks Media Relations program. The intern will write media pitches for second tier media markets and pitch journalists in those markets. The intern will learn how to effectively pitch journalists, become proficient in the media relations software products Cision and Meltwater, organize editorial board meetings with media outlets, write email pitches to reporters and learn how to complete a communications and social media plan.
