    Description: Grayling is the second largest independent global Public Relations, Public Affairs, Investor Relations and Events consultancy in the world.

    We have 70 offices in 40 countries in the US, Western and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and Asia Pacific with a strong network of preferred partners in other parts of the world.

    Grayling in DC is looking for a Public Affairs Intern to support the Public Affairs team in a fast-paced environment.

    Duties May Include:

    - Administrative support to the public affairs team including, but not limited to, research, scheduling meetings, pitching reporters, and writing memos/correspondence.

    - Research for specific client accounts

    - Manage team databases, and reporter contact lists.

    - Basic manipulation and analysis of data sets; assist in producing PowerPoint presentations

    - Tailor proposals to include the company solutions and fees identified to meet client’s objectives and requirements

    - Media monitoring; search publications daily; determine relevance of current events and issues and forward pertinent observations to clients and Dutko Grayling staff

    - Prepare memos informing clients of recent events, articles or reports relating to client’s business or objectives

    - Plan events and coordinate logistical details, including but not limited to negotiating venue and catering contracts

    - Provide clients with talking points for use during meetings or speaking engagements

    - Create memos and correspondence to be used by clients and the
    Company

    - Conduct correspondence on behalf of the public affairs team and clients

    - Other related duties and tasks may be assigned as required

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor’s Degree, or ongoing study in pursuit of a degree required

    - Some office experience strongly preferred - Exceptional fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

    - Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth Internet-based research required

    - Advanced writing and oral communication skills, preferably used in working effectively with political officials and/or clients required

    - Ability work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and prioritize tasks
    based on importance and deadlines is critical
