    An innovative Health Policy Nonprofit in DC is seeking an editor to produce content, develop & enrich collaborating partners, & secure new audiences. Incumbent will be responsible for the placement & promotion of articles, press releases, brochures, and web content.

    Responsibilities include: identifying new research findings; summarizing complex materials; managing relationships with writers, relevant journals, and readers/subscribers;
    selecting/placing articles; ensuring content quality and reliability. Incumbent
    will be responsible for advising on the style and quality of content, and will perform related copy and editorial duties. S/he will be responsible for writing news stories and blog posts.

    The ideal candidate should have a strong hold on new media and social networking trends.
    Health and journalism is required and will best complement the
    mission.

    Excellent writing/editing skills; copy editor experience a plus
    -- Bachelor’s Degree; Health/Communications, required
    MPH with some journalism experience, considered
    -- 5+ years of experience in Communications
    -- Health and science background/experience
    -- Experience in medical news production
    -- Basic understanding of SEO and social media; HTML and Photoshop platforms experience preferred
    -- Skills in traffic data analysis, metrics tracking and response
    -- Organized, with exceptional attention to detail
    -- Self-motivated, team player
