  1. Nike - Government Affairs Intern

The office of Nike Government Affairs in Washington, DC is looking for an intern for the Fall of 2012. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain work experience in the areas of government and public affairs. In this fast-paced environment, interns will work closely with the Government Affairs Assistant in order to learn how politics relates to business on both the national and international level. This is an un-paid internship on Capitol Hill; start date is flexible: preferably between September 10 and September 17

    QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this internship is an undergraduate student with an interest in politics and must be receiving college credit for their hours. The intern is expected to have excellent written and oral communication abilities in addition to experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Additionally, the ideal candidate is someone with a team mindset and willingness to learn. An interest in sports and athletics is important, and because Nike’s World Headquarters is located in Beaverton, Oregon, having an Oregon connection is a plus.

For more information or to apply, please send a cover letter and résumé to Alex Hula at alex.hula@nike.com by August 24, 2012.
