Reingold - Website Content Writer
ReplyDeleteReingold, a leading Washington-area communications and social marketing firm, offers an outstanding opportunity for a creative top-flight writer to produce website and digital content for social marketing, public relations, and advertising campaigns. We offer creative freedom, a supportive work environment, and challenging client assignments. Prestige clients include associations, educational institutions, national and local government agencies, corporations, and nonprofit organizations.
This position requires a versatile self-starter with strong intellect and initiative, total reliability, and superior writing and project management skills. The successful candidate will be able to handle a variety of writing assignments that include website and social media copy, contract proposal content, fact sheets, and news media outreach materials for clients. The ideal candidate will also have proven project management skills and an understanding of the full scope of communications, from market research to evaluation. Proficiency with Macintosh computers, systems, and software helpful but not necessary.
Responsibilities include:
-- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to edit or rewrite and repurpose existing website content.
-- Collaborate with SMEs to write new online content.
-- Determine placement of new and edited content within content templates.
-- Create or edit relevant and engaging content for websites geared toward the intended audience.
-- Strategically infuse content with keywords for search engine optimization.
The successful candidate will be diplomatic and able to maintain a professional presence while handling multiple assignments within tight time frames in a creative, fast-paced environment. The candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker who has initiative, balance, a willingness to work and think hard, commitment to the team, practical perfectionism, a sense of humor, discipline, and eagerness to chart unfamiliar territory.
This position is a temporary from Feb. 1 to Aug. 1, 2013, with an option to extend. The extension of this position will depend on performance and the firm’s need. Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism. public relations, or other communications-related field desired. Minimum two years’ experience essential; five to seven years’ experience preferred. Experience in environmental services is a plus! Proven website content writing expertise and strong copyediting/proofreading skills required.
