Strauss Media Strategies, Inc., a vibrant, dynamic, exciting and growing downtown Washington, DC public relations, communications, strategy and consulting firm specializing in radio and television seeks to immediately hire a highly motivated and positive minded Executive Assistant/Office Manager. This person will provide daily administrative support to our company president and assist with daily office tasks.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
• Word processing (drafting, editing, formatting of documents)
• Proofreading (press releases, news scripts, routine correspondence, etc.) filing, copying, and other clerical tasks.
• Maintaining and updating radio and television station databases.
• Scheduling meetings, preparation of meeting materials, maintaining calendar.
• Regularly order office supplies.
• Light bookkeeping duties.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks Pro is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Code vendor bills, confirm payment of invoices and inquire about unpaid invoices.
• Process accounts payable.
• Prepare company deposits.
• Assist other office workers from time to time with projects and/or tasks.
• Take, edit, and produce minutes at companywide meetings.
• Help organize the office and help maintain office cleanliness.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing mail.
• Maintain and regularly update office client code lists.
• Produce annual holiday cards including updating address lists, ordering cards, sending card out, etc.
• Prepare and assemble materials for new hires.
• Prepare and assist with annual company holiday party and company dinner.
