ReplyDeleteNAFSA: Association of International Educators, the world’s largest association dedicated to advocating for a better world through international education, seeks experienced media strategist to help lead organization to new level of advocacy success by using media as effective tool for policy change. Serving as one of two deputies to the Deputy Executive Director for Public Policy, the position oversees the media/advocacy team and leads the association’s strategic communications outreach with a focus on the advocacy agenda. Ideal candidate thrives on making change happen and will demonstrate success in using strategic communications to advance an advocacy agenda. Position requires 8 years leadership experience in policy strategy, issue advocacy, media relations, or related field; exceptional communications skills; extraordinary leadership and management ability; experience framing a message and shaping a public narrative; supervisory experience; experience managing outside consultants; sophisticated understanding of the use of strategic communications to advance a policy agenda; COMMITMENT TO MISSION; and demonstrated ability to innovate and problem-solve.
