Virtru, a software as a service product that allows anyone to send and receive secure email messages and attachments, is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to support the operational and marketing aspects of our company in Washington, DC. This full-time position requires organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, in addition to a positive, team-oriented attitude with an obsessive attention to detail. The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Product and will serve a vital role in providing help and coordination for all our marketing efforts. Primary responsibilities include:
• Execute Virtru’s social media strategy across multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.)
• Monitor and manage Virtru’s SEO (experience with Google AdWords is a plus)
• Determine Virtru’s Google Analytics goals and maximize the utilization of collectible data
• Create and manage Virtru’s email campaigns to users (experience with MailChimp is a plus)
• Manage Virtru’s customer support system (experience with desk.com is a plus)
• Work closely with developers to determine algorithms for data interpretation and alert/report generation
• Perform impactful evaluations of project/product development processes and outcomes to determine marketing effectiveness or ineffectiveness
• Fulfill necessary administrative responsibilities, including scheduling meetings, travel planning, expense reporting and vendor payments
• Read/manage multiple email threads, sometimes with little guidance, to final actionable next steps, make accurate forecasts, and hit major milestones
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong attention to detail
• At least one year experience in marketing or a similar field
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced quantitative skills
• Above-average computer knowledge, including Google Docs, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Desk.com and general Internet savvy
• Ability to work as a team player and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter mentality with a solid sense of judgement
