The intern will work with multinational clients on public policy, public relations and brand management projects.
The ideal candidates bring outstanding written and oral communications skills, an interest in public relations and international policy, as well as strong academic, technology and research skills. ReplyDeleteThe American Academy of Actuaries is seeking a communications intern for the summer of 2014. The intern will assist the Academy’s 8-person communications department with filing, copying, scanning, archiving, and data entry support, as well as web page proofing and some research.
Term: 8-10 weeks. Internship will start between April 28 and June 16 and consist of 320 hours by Aug. 30, 2014. Intern’s schedule will be set under the direction of the internship coordinator.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student with an interest or academic major and strong grade point average (minimum 3.0) in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
• Volunteer or paid experience working a newspaper, newsletter, magazine, organizational blog or Web site, or similar.
• Computer skills, including the ability to use/learn Office 2010.
