    We are seeking applicants for Fall Communications Fellows to be part of the headquarters staff here in DC. Fall Fellows for Enroll America’s Get Covered America campaign will work closely with staff at our headquarters offices and will be an integral part of our success as an organization. The core of our work will take place in several target states to get uninsured Americans up to speed on the opportunities made possible by the Affordable Care Act. At our DC Headquarters, various departments focus on facilitating and serving on-the-ground work in the states.

    Fellow responsibilities will vary, but may include: assisting communications staff with media outreach, writing and editing press materials (press releases, talking points, memos, Op-Eds), maintaining press lists, providing assistance to state staff.

    This is an unpaid position. Flexible schedule and hours, but must be available on weekdays during normal business hours. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, self-motivated, outgoing, flexible, and dedicated to the mission of the organization. Strong writing skills required. Some experience with journalism, campaigns, communications/public relations, health policy, government, or nonprofit organizations preferred, but not required. Spanish language skills a plus.
