And, we're back ...

    Description of internship

    We are currently seeking candidates for a paid internship position to begin in October 2014. The intern would support our consulting team in research, report writing and media outreach. The duration of the internship would be 3-6 months, with possibility of extension or a long-term position. The position would involve work out of our Washington DC office as well as the option to work on a remote basis. Applications are welcome from recent graduates or graduate students. Full-
    time is preferable, but coordination around an academic schedule is possible.

    Responsibilities

    - Assist in research and drafting of reports, briefings and presentations

    - Monitor domestic and international media outlets for relevant news stories

    - Assist in drafting news releases, blog entries and op-eds

    - Attend client meetings, report releases and relevant DC policy events

    - Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    - Degree or comparable experience in one or more of the following areas: economics, statistics, international policy, government affairs, health policy or law; a background in health economics or intellectual property a plus

    - Well-versed in research; knowledge of domestic and international regulatory, economic and statistical databases

    - Strong command of analysis and writing; must be able to understand and communicate to different audiences the political and economic context of the research conducted

    - Familiarity with Excel-based data analysis

    - Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment

    - Excellent verbal and written skills in English; additional languages a plus

    - Experience in media outreach and familiarity with major media outlets and DC policy events/platforms a plus
