NextGen Climate is currently seeking a detail-oriented communications professional to join our team as a Writer, who will provide overall writing support for NGC principals and staff. The ideal candidate should have previous writing experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong preference given to candidates with experience speechwriting or drafting materials in an organization-specific voice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Write and edit blog posts, statements and editorials for NGC principals and validators.
• Draft talking points and remarks for principals and validators, in support of the NGC speechwriter.
• Edit materials generated across departments to ensure organizational consistency of message and tone.
• Create a variety of compelling and creative content targeted to diverse audiences.
• Oversee speech and editorial calendar for principal-level engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor’s degree
• 3-6 years experience in a communications field, writing experience preferred.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines.
• Driven with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
