Finn Partners, a growing global communications firm, is looking for a mid-level hire - a Research Manager – to join our Research team in DC. The primary focus of the position is project management (both quantitative and qualitative research) with some business development. Research clients include non-profit organizations, government agencies, colleges and universities and corporate/consumer clients. Fast-paced (but sane) work environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Participating in all aspects of the research process
• Moderating focus groups and interviews
• Designing questionnaires
• Developing qualitative instruments, including focus group discussion guides
• Writing reports
• Client management
• Managing data during and after fielding
• Developing frequencies and cross-tabulations
• Providing data analysis
• Preparing complete analyses of quantitative and qualitative research
• Assisting in business development and marketing, including proposal writing
Qualifications include:
• At least 4-5 years’ experience with primary qualitative and quantitative public opinion/market research
• Experience moderating focus groups and interviews
• Excellent writing, verbal and analytical skills
• Demonstrated mastery of graphic data presentation (in PowerPoint or other software)
• Ability/Understanding of SPSS or similar statistical analysis package
• Ability to manage projects simultaneously
