Bot Poetics

We're not going to morph into a "hey, did you read this?" operation any time soon, but we'll make the rare exception for this terrific survey of poetry-generating twitter bots.

  2. 30 for 30 Campaign - Communications Intern

    The 30 for 30 Campaign is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that the unique needs of women living with and affected by HIV, including transgender women, are addressed in the national HIV response through education, advocacy and policy analysis.     Position: Public Health Communications Intern

    Description: The Public Health Communications Intern will oversee (under the supervision of the Project Director), social media, including, twitter and facebook posts, to maximize engagement with the public and key public policy advocates and in order to elevate attention for issues impacting women living with HIV. The 30 for 30 Campaign seeks a task-oriented, dynamic and well-written communications expert committed to improving the public’s health. This position will also work with the Project Director on potentially more traditional media, like press statements.

    Responsibilities:

    --Update and maintain 30 for 30’s social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling and reporting Facebook updates and twitter
    --Assist in planning, writing and managing e-blasts and e-newsletters
    --Design flyers, minor graphics, invitations and other marketing material
    --Update the organization’s website regularly
    --Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications
    --Prepare weekly reports and maintain regular contact with supervisor
    --Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    --Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
    --Undergraduate degree completed in public relations, communications, public health or related field
    --Working toward graduate degree in public health or public policy
    --Possesses excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
    --Previous internship or job in public relations or public health, strongly preferred
