Semiconductor Industry Association - Events & Membership Manager
ReplyDeleteThe Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) is the voice of the U.S. semiconductor industry, a key driver of America’s economic strength, national security, and global technology leadership. SIA seeks to strengthen U.S. leadership of semiconductor manufacturing, design, and research by working with Congress, the Administration, and other key industry stakeholders to encourage policies and regulations that fuel innovation, propel business and drive international competition.
SIA is hiring an Events & Membership Manager who can support the association across a variety of events, membership, sponsorship, and communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful event planning and execution, familiarity with soliciting event sponsorships, and a fundamental grasp of core communications functions, including member communications, news monitoring, and social media engagement. The position reports to the Director of Communications.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
· 2 – 5 years of professional experience planning and executing events and securing event sponsorships
· Membership recruitment experience and/or communications experience preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and troubleshoot last-minute problems
· Interest in technology industry
· Proficient with MS Office package, including Excel and PowerPoint
· Some travel required
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and help execute association’s events and meetings, including its Annual Award Dinner, board meetings, Capitol Hill briefings, and media events.
· Manage day-to-day tasks associated with association events/meetings, including hotel and vendor contracts, event invitations, RSVPs and on-site registration, seating assignments, guest speakers, sponsorship solicitations, show production, VIP management, audio/visual equipment requirements, and the coordination of printed materials and multimedia content used during events/meetings.
· Serve as the association’s on-site coordinator at all events and meetings.
· Assist with all aspects of existing and prospective member relations, including retention and recruitment.
· Update and maintain association’s membership database, files, and email marketing system.
· Keep detailed records of association’s interactions with existing and prospective members.
· Coordinate, compile, and edit association’s member newsletter.
· Compile and distribute weekly industry news clips to SIA members and stakeholders.
· Respond to membership inquiries with appropriate materials.
· Develop and distribute promotional communications to prospective members.
· Assist with website maintenance, social media, and other communications tasks as needed.
· Provide administrative support as assigned.
