The Glen Echo Group, a DC-based strategic communications firm, seeks an outstanding creative fellow. Candidates will have a compelling creative portfolio demonstrating understanding of design principles across multiple disciplines and the ability to translate dense concepts into simple, elegant design using humor and common sense. Candidates must be able to clearly articulate design rationale and its role in creative problem solving.
Responsibilities

--In this role, you will aid in:
--Translating messages into compelling visuals across multiple media and platforms
--Researching, pitching and developing new visual stories and formats
--Drafting, editing and publishing any copy related to digital projects
--Presenting your work to both internal and external audiences
--Managing websites and social media accounts for Glen Echo Group & our clients
--Functioning at a high level on tight deadlines and with changing priorities
--Taking direction and working in fast-paced, team environment
Qualifications
--6-months-to-3-years professional experience designing infographics and assets for websites, apps, videos and/or digital advertising
--Passion for design and a genuine interest in internet and technology issues
--College degree (or equivalent experience) in Media Arts, Digital Design or related field
--Proficiency with Adobe CC programs (Ps, Ai, Id) required
--Experience with video-editing and animation software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and After Effects) considered a plus
--Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript also a plus
--Attention to detail, enthusiasm, creativity, and desire to work hard with a great team
