Reports To: President

Salary Range: Base plus commission

Position Summary:

OCG PR, a full-service public relations agency is looking for a senior director to establish and run its federal practice office located in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of proven communication expertise and government procurement experience. The role will manage all federal procurement opportunities and drive project deliverables. The position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team which values high-quality work.

The core competencies of this position are:

· Drive sales in the federal space
· Develop relationships with government clients in an effort to identify and cultivate opportunities
· Develop and implement business development initiatives and strategies
· Identify potential teaming partners
· Understand and respond to RFI, Sources Sought and RFP opportunities
· Serve as lead account services representative
· Schedule and facilitate capability meetings
· Assist with the creation of presentations, research and other tools that support the business development efforts
· Lead creative brainstorms

You will be suited for this position if you have:

· Demonstrated strategic thinking, business instincts, creativity and sound judgement
· The ability to lead, develop, manage and hold team members accountable
· Knowledge of government contracting and supplier diversity efforts
· Advanced writing and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of the public relations industry
· A strong comfort level conducting business on the phone and in-person
· The ability to work well under pressure in a small firm atmosphere

Preferred:

· Public Relations, marketing, political science, public policy degree
· Federal procurement experience
