We are looking for an experienced public affairs professional to help lead our Washington, D.C. office, expand the business and manage client initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play a senior role at a growing firm, working with high-profile companies on a diverse set of issues. This position requires at least 10 years of relevant experience managing large public affairs accounts, leading communications strategy and supervising staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead day-to-day aspects of client initiatives including account strategy, tactical execution, media relations, content production, crisis management and third-party coordination.
· Build strong relationships with clients by managing day-to-day requests and proactively creating opportunities to advance client goals.
· Supervise the work of account executives, account managers, subcontractors and vendors.
· Work with firm partners to develop new business and marketing opportunities as well as strengthen existing client relationships.
· Develop strategies to maximize firm’s effectiveness in relation to client services and internal processes.
· Maintain a strong knowledge of Washington D.C.’s political and policy climate and its potential effect on ROKK Solutions’ clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years leading client accounts, managing campaigns and/or issue coalitions. While agency or firm experience is preferred, comparable corporate, government or political experience will also be considered.
· High-level media relations skills and demonstrated relationships with national reporters.
· Proven experience integrating digital advertising, social media, data targeting and analytics into public affairs campaigns.
· Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and developing staff.
· Strong verbal, presentation, research, writing and editing skills, with a close attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize the needs of multiple clients and work quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
