ReplyDeleteWRAP is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education.
Job Description: Responsible for maintaining WRAP’s outward image and branding and ensuring effective messaging among internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
--Draft and maintain a master Communications Plan outlining the overall communications strategy for WRAP.
--Establish and maintain standards regarding how WRAP should be represented to external stakeholders and ensure these standards are implemented consistently across all outward communications.
--Drive content initiatives that engage outside audiences about WRAP’s mission and its importance.
--Provide regular reports to the CEO regarding results of communications initiatives.
--Serve as WRAP’s press liaison and address media inquiries.
--Serve as a resource for all other WRAP staff members in developing effective communications for each individual department; including:
----working with the Business Development function to support relationship management activities as well as developing content for WRAP’s trade show booths and work with outside vendors to create materials supporting this content
----work with the Compliance function to develop communications to relevant third parties (monitors, factories, etc.)
----work with the Education function to ensure all multimedia used in training courses is of the highest quality
--Build relationships with global media members and actively seek opportunities to pitch stories about WRAP’s activities.
--Manage content on www.wrapcompliance.org and ensure proper localization of all web content.
----Work with WRAP’s international offices to develop localized online resources for regional audiences.
--Curate content from within WRAP to share via online platforms.
--Provide regular, engaging content for WRAP’s social media accounts.
--Manage and publish the WRAP Weekly Newsletter.
--Keep minutes of WRAP staff meetings and distribute to staff.
--Attend periodic trade and industry events.
--Any other duties as required, covering a broad range of organizational communications functions.
Skills/Qualifications:
--BA or MA in communications, marketing or related field.
--Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, marketing or related field.
--Detail orientated, proactive, self-starter with high level of initiative.
--Excellent verbal and writing capabilities.
--Solid presentation skills.
--Adept at videography.
--Knowledge of website development and html, along with PHP, JavaScript, as well as Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
--Knowledge of mobile web development is a plus.
