The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research modes and methodologies and demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and teams.     Responsibilities

    --Manage the field schedule for all survey research
    --Oversee day-to-day fielding of surveys and problem-solve when challenges arise, including monitoring and troubleshooting as needed on evenings and weekends
    --Develop and maintain strong relationships with field partners (call centers and online panels)
    --Procure bids from multiple vendors, conduct cost analysis, and verify vendor invoices
    --Oversee the sampling department that prepares samples for surveys
    --Manage multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously while coordinating among the projects’ leads and the sampling, data tabulation, and editing departments
    --Research past projects to inform field plans for future projects
    --Stay up to date on the latest approaches to survey methodology and fielding
    --Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas of improvement and develop new processes for making survey processes more efficient and effective
    --Prepare for and run weekly staff meeting
    --Aid in selection and provide oversight of summer interns
    --Perform other related duties as assigned
    --NOTE: This position is not client facing and does not entail analysis or reporting of survey results.

    Qualifications

    --Bachelor’s degree
    --Minimum 7 years of work experience, including at least 4 years of experience in the field of polling and/or market research
    --Strong and demonstrated interest in staying up to date on current trends in approaches to survey methodology and public opinion research
    --High level of professionalism and discretion
    --Excellent project management and organizational skills, including proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
    --Ability to work and excel in a fast-paced environment
    --Adaptability to changing situations and needs, both internal and external
    --Strong leadership skills and a high degree of initiative in resolving problems and implementing solutions in a fast-paced environment
    --Team player with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff in a sometimes high-pressure environment
    --Experience managing relationships with outside vendors and/or partners
    --Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    --Ability to manage financial bids and budgets
    --Experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel
    --Interest in progressive issues, the political process, and current events a plus
