As an Investigator at Colley Intelligence, you will be working in a highly-collaborative, team-oriented environment. Investigators work on a broad range of cases for a highly diverse, industry-agnostic clientele ranging from the AMLaw “Top 10”, Fortune100 companies, to sovereign wealth funds. As an experienced professional, you will work within the team to craft innovative, solutions to complex problems.

    Your Job:
    • Assist senior team members in carrying out complex investigations and fact-finding
    • Conduct expert-level investigative and open-source research, especially in social media cultivation and analysis
    • Prepare deliverable content, including written reports, memos, presentations, and slide decks using MS Office, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
    • Work independently to drive-forward investigative research and findings
    • Complete in-depth reports on background data and social media findings
    • Work closely with team members on complex cases to resolve identities on social media or databases.
    • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication with team members regarding workflow
    • Read, analyze, and distill large amounts of information from social media, open source, and press coverage, and apply it to an investigation
    • Conduct multiple research reports at once while maintaining work quality and turnaround time.

    About You:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum two years’ experience as an investigator, paralegal, researcher, or analyst in a legal, research, or risk environment
    • Experience developing investigative findings and composing summaries of technical content into easy to understand reports
    • Experience conducting and supervising social media investigations for use in complex litigation
    • An independent thinker and comfortable with consistently evolving priorities and juggling client’s (evolving) demands
    • An effective problem-solver who works well without a “playbook” or “checklist”
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
    • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
    • Knowledge and experience with the collection and analysis of the public record including court records, regulatory filings, and corporate records using online and on-site sources
    • Ability to interpret a variety of legal and/or insurance-related instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple social media platforms
    • Skilled in identifying new methods to identify and improve case-work performance
