  1. International Tax and Investment Center - Program Assistant

    The International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), an independent, nonprofit research and educational organization, is seeking a motivated Program Assistant to join its headquarters staff in Washington, DC.

    Founded in 1993, ITIC promotes tax reform, international best practices, and public-private dialogue to improve the investment climate in transition and developing economies. ITIC works closely with ministries of finance and tax authorities in 85 countries, as well as international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and United Nations.

    The Program Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to provide daily support to the organization’s President, oversee country-specific and regional programs, and perform other functions as outlined below.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Provide daily support to the ITIC President and to other staff as needed. Key aspects of administrative support include:
    • Correspondence, email management and dictation (transcription of digital files)
    • Meeting scheduling, preparation, and follow-up
    • International travel planning: travel agency coordination, visas, itinerary/materials preparation

    2. Coordinate working groups and related programs for country and regional initiatives throughout the year, including:
    • Planning monthly/quarterly videoconferences for ongoing working group activity, including preparation, materials, and follow-up
    • Providing support for international conferences with government officials, academic experts, and industry executives
    • Assisting in designing and delivering capacity-building workshops for government officials
    • Preparing budgets, manage invoicing and payments for events, and liaise with in-country partner organizations and international speakers

    3. Perform general office tasks, with duties including:
    • Editing documents, publications, and reports
    • Organizing occasional briefings and seminars in Washington
    • Database entry, updates, and ongoing management
    • Supplies management, vendor relations and invoicing
    • Answering incoming calls and coordinating mailings/shipping

    The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience and program management responsibilities in an international-oriented setting. Computer skills and standard software proficiency are required, as are strong organizational and communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior executives and other stakeholders from foreign governments and international organizations.

  2. Squared Communications - Public Relations Intern

    Squared Communications, a boutique public relations firm based in Washington, D.C., is looking for a self-motivated intern interested in learning about all aspects of the public relations field. Ideally, this candidate would be able to start immediately and commit to a full-time schedule. College graduates are strongly preferred. It's essential that the candidate have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details. This position is remote; candidates are not required to be D.C. based.

    The primary goal of the internship is for the individual to assist with specific projects and gain experience with public relations writing and day-to-day activities, media relations, and client management.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Monitor all forms of media for daily news clippings
    • Contribute daily to media coverage reports for clients in a timely manner
    • Draft press releases, blog posts, pitches and other materials as necessary
    • General and client-related research
    • Draft social media posts for various clients
    • Assist with developing and implementing social media campaigns
