    This position will serve as a full-time Communications Coordinator for the Sharice for Congress 2022 Campaign. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Communications department and Political team on an as needed basis.

    REPORTS TO: Communications Director

    Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) seeks a hard-working and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator. Communications Coordinator will assist the Communications department by drafting written materials and social media, maintaining press lists, and updating the campaign website. Communications Coordinator will also triage incoming schedule requests and staff Rep. Davids on an as needed basis.

    Ideal candidates will have exceptional organizational skills, be attentive to detail, have a positive attitude, be a team player, and be willing to adjust and manage an ever-changing environment. Successful applicants will work well under pressure, anticipate problems, propose solutions, and have excellent writing skills. This position reports to the Communications Director, works closely with Rep. Davids and the entire campaign team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    ● Draft written materials and social media posts for the campaign
    ● Manage campaign website
    ● Maintain press list
    ● Send daily clips
    ● Support Communications Director in planning events
    ● Receive and organize incoming scheduling requests
    ● Drive Rep. Davids and staff events as needed
    ● Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
    ● Candidates with ties to Kansas are strongly encouraged to apply
    ● Past campaign and/or political experience is a plus, but not required
    ● Previous communications/scheduling experience is a plus
