  1. Moderate U.S. Senate Office - Communications Manager

High energy, collaborative communications team in a moderate Senator’s office looking for a thoughtful team member with polished writing skills. Effective media relations skills are also needed, both from a pitching perspective and fielding inquiries – along with a strategic mindset to identify opportunities to advance short- and long-term goals. Agility is also key, as external events frequently force the team to readjust priorities and timetables.

The team is non-hierarchical, with each member prepared to contribute to or lead on incoming tasks and projects. Five years of newsroom, Hill or agency work expected. Salary is commensurate with experience and Congressional pay scale.

Duties include, but are not limited to

    · Byline authorship
    · Press releases
    · Story pitching
    · Statement/speechwriting
    · Media/journalist engagement
    · Social media opportunities and succinct, compelling messaging

Send current resume and any relevant writing samples (up to two press release, bylines, etc) to SenateCommsOpp@gmail.com

Note: regarding the anonymous email application address, we were able to confirm this is from a U.S. Senate office & is fully legit.
