The First Little Harbinger of Spring

Sure, it's not even technically Winter yet for a lot of folks (we're meteorological Winter devotees, ourselves), but we're always a little thrilled to mark the point where sunset starts to arrive just a little later around here & celebrate it as the first turn of the tide towards warmer weather (and yes, we know that it's still going to trend colder for several weeks). For you glass-half-empty types, we also note that sunrise won't start coming earlier until mid-January. Pool-season enthusiasts should know the Friday of Memorial Day weekend is now just 158 days away. And while were at it, the annual span of 60+ degree days (avg. high temps) runs from Mar. 25 to Nov. 11 in the DC area. Be cheered & enjoy the jobs.
