Uncompromising and Fearless

Still hunting for that summer internship? You might try looking for Intern opportunities among the Time Warner family of companies (including AOL, CNN, Time Warner Corporate). Just searching the intern category brought up over 160 internships nationwide, with nearly 50 in the DC area. The Time Warner careers site can seem a little tricky at first, but be patient and you’ll figure it out.

There are also a lot of Intern availabilities with the online division of the Washington Post Co. – for example, here’s a recently-posted one (apply by Mar. 16) with their Slate.com operation.

You might have to register with Mediabisto.com (free, painless, and they don’t spam you) to see this Senior Correspondent, Washington DC gig with Al Jazeera. They claim their journalism is uncompromising and fearless – and you should be, too.

The Land Trust Alliance helps promote and harness the preservation activities of 1,600 land trusts nationwide. They list an opening for a Development Associate in their DC offices, and also reference opportunities with local land trusts (scroll to bottom) around the nation.

Publicsquare.net appears to be a just-starting nonpartisan debate/discussion website. They are looking for all sorts of Intern assistance, of the unpaid type.

A nameless (but “top ten”) PR agency is seeking a Vice President, Government & Public Affairs with strong DC media and lobbying contacts and a strategic public relations background. New York's O’Hare + Associates are leading this search.
