  2. World Wildlife Fund - Communications Intern

    Unpaid position - The intern must receive academic credit or a stipend through his/her university for their work.

    Description: The Program Communications Team seeks an intern who can assist the team in its role of coordinating communications for a global alliance (of which WWF is part of) that works with the U.S. federal government to help create policies and programs that will protect the environment in developing countries.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities: Tasks will include helping to keep content on the alliance’s website current, accurate and informative; editing and writing collateral; coordinating communications meetings and activities for the alliance; and assisting with media outreach.

    Minimum Requirements:

    -- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in progress is required, as school credit (no stipend) must be accepted for this internship
    -- Experience in journalism or public relations helpful
    -- Strong interest in conservation, politics and the mission of WWF
    -- Detail oriented
    -- Exceptional written communication skills
    -- Experience with editing and/or producing video a plus
    -- Strong organization and time management
    -- Familiarity with MS Word, Power Point, Excel required

    Duration: Fall Semester
