Vice President/Education
Hager Sharp is seeking an experienced project director to lead a large account team for its education practice and provide leadership direction for smaller teams. Leadership, project director and PR agency experience a must. We’re looking for someone who can see the big picture and be strategic - while keeping all the trains running on time! And who wants to be part of a team whose mission is communications that make a difference.
Responsibilities involve leading multi-faceted communications programs that can include campaign strategy development, media relations, social media, materials development, formative and quantitative research for message testing and campaign evaluation, and partnership development. Position requires strategic planning, media relations, and vendor management skills. As a Vice President of the firm, responsibilities also include new business development. Candidates should have at least ten years’ experience as a project director. There is not much travel.
Requirements:
10-12 years of PR/communications experience;
PR agency experience, at a project director level;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Proven ability to lead account teams;
Demonstrated account management skills including budget control and project billings;
Strong project management skills;
Quick thinking and responsive, proactive, and creative;
Ability to work within tight project timelines;
Sense of humor and perspective;
Desire to make a difference!
