Association for Career and Technical Education - Media Relations Manager

Association for Career and Technical Education seeks Media Relations Manager responsible for managing all of aspects of media activities and working closely with other association staff on public awareness and image issues. Individual is responsible for coordinating and orchestrating media and public awareness campaigns and events and works closely with public policy staff to develop messaging and activities that improve understanding and support for career and technical education.

The ability to cultivate and maintain strong press contacts with reporters representing education, workforce and business media is essential. Strong organizational, publication, oral and written communication skills, understanding of social media and online tools and ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks effectively with minimal supervision required. Bachelor’s degree, three to five years relevant experience and knowledge of education and government relations preferred.
