    Supervisor & Title: Sarah Novak, Vice President, Membership & Public Relations

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the overall development and design of AFIA’s various websites, design products and provides support to ensure overall success of the membership and communications department.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • WEBSITES: Maintains and develops news tools for the association’s websites including www.afia.org, www.safefeedsafefood.org, www.ifeeder.org and the member’s only website.

    • ONLINE BUYERS GUIDE: Develops and is the lead for the implementation of a marketing plan for Online Buyers Guide to include promotion of the service and management of the website.

    • JOURNAL: Designs the semi-annual AFIA Journal, writes filler-articles and serves as a secondary editor.

    • MEETINGS AND EVENTS PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS: Works with meetings manager and committee staff contact to develop all event-related materials, to include save the dates, brochures, trade magazine advertisements, web banners, landing pages, Journal ads and on-site materials.

    • GRAPHIC DESIGN: Designs all marketing support items such as advertisements, signs, email blasts, banner ads, awards, graphics, AFIA booth at IPPE, and sponsor items for AFIA, IFEEDER and Safe Feed/Safe Food.

    • CAREER CENTER: Manages the development of, and is the main staff lead for the implementation of, the marketing plan for the AFIA Online Career Center.

    • VIDEO: assists with the editing of video clips for AFIA’s website and members’ only website.

    • Maintains AFIA’s logo-use policy.

    • Assists staff with PowerPoints as needed.

    • Assists with AFIA Marketing committee.

    • Assists with IFEEDER, to include design work and website maintenance.

    • Provides support in editing all materials for the Association.

    • Provides back-up for the Association’s social media outreach.

    • Provides back-up for the Association’s email blasts.

    • Responds to member requests in a timely fashion.

    • Other tasks as assigned.

    Knowledge and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel and Adobe

    products including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere and Dreamweaver.

    • Experience in AVID or Final Cut Pro

    • Strong working knowledge of HTML and Constant Contact.

    • Proven verbal and written communications skills.

    • Excellent organizational and planning ability.

    • Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and members.

    • Self motivated and capable of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.

    • Detail oriented.

    • Superior customer service ethic.
