ReplyDeleteThe Hatcher Group communications firm is seeking a candidate for a paid full-time internship in its Baltimore office to begin in May 2014 and lasting three to six months. There is a possibility that the internship could lead to a permanent staff position.
Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, and some relevant work experience, be highly organized and exhibit strong writing, editing and computer skills, including in web research and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Candidates should also have basic graphic design skills, ideally using such programs as InDesign or Photoshop, and demonstrated experience using social media. Experience creating or designing websites is a plus.
Responsibilities: The intern will work with us on a variety of client projects. Tasks may include:
· media and advocacy outreach
· writing press releases and media advisories
· researching and creating databases and media lists
· event planning
· web site updating
· preparation of reports and media briefing packets
· social media outreach and tracking
· administrative duties
The intern may also assist with design projects, including creating printed documents, PowerPoints and e-cards.
This position pays $10 an hour, with no benefits, for up to 40 hours a week. Our small, friendly office is in mid-town and easily reached by mass transit.
