Story Partners, a leading DC-based public affairs firm, is seeking an Associate Director to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience working in a public relations or public affairs agency, a solid record of achievement in generating media placements, a persuasive writing portfolio and a passion for providing outstanding client service.

Responsibilities:

--Support senior members of the Story Partners team in executing public relations programs for clients
--Develop news hooks, pitch media and generate strategic media placements
--Develop and execute creative social media campaigns
--Draft press releases, op-eds, letters-to-editors and other collateral materials
--Coordinate and manage press conferences and other client events
--Identify and establish third-party allies
--Build grassroots networks

Qualifications:

--Three to five years communications experience which must include public relations or public affairs agency background
--Excellent media contacts, strong media pitching skill, and a solid record of achievement in generating media placements
--Accomplished writer with a persuasive writing portfolio
--Experience implementing strategic public affairs campaigns
--Ability to develop and execute creative social media strategies
--Passion for providing quality client service
--Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team environment, and has the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
