ASGK Public Strategies, a public affairs and communications management firm, is seeking highly motivated, career-oriented students and entry-level professionals for Spring 2015 paid internships starting as soon as possible and lasting until May. We are committed to preparing our interns for successful careers in advocacy, government, business, marketing, public relations and public affairs. Candidates will provide support across client accounts, with job responsibilities that may include:

· Conducting research for new business proposals and existing campaigns

· Create and/or update existing stakeholder, influencer and media lists by identifying new and relevant contacts

· Monitoring for relevant news coverage across client portfolio, as well as participating in sentiment monitoring via social media

· Assisting with development of written materials, such as digital communications, letters to the editor, stakeholder communications, etc.

· Proofreading documents for staff members

· Assisting in the development of presentations

Internship length and time commitment is flexible, however the ideal candidate will be available to commit full time. This position can be paid or taken for course credit.

Ideal candidates will:

· Be enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, English, etc.); or have recently graduated from a higher education program

· Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

· Have a proven ability to work quickly and decisively to meet deadlines, troubleshoot and manage multiple projects at once

· Contribute to office organization
