Hello Monday!

Yes, as a matter of fact, we are pretty cheerful this morning; you can probably figure out why.  Also, don't forget yesterday's run of previously noted opportunities closing this week.

    • Ability to multi-task, work quickly to meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments at once.
    • Previous work experience in campaigns, advocacy, strategic communications, or a related field.
    • Experience developing communications plans and supporting their implementation.
    • Proven experience developing relationships with reporters.
    • Understanding of federal and/or state policymaking processes.
    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Advanced proficiency with all standard professional software.

    Desired Skills and Qualifications
    • Experience producing materials for public distribution, conducting policy and media research, overseeing vendors and outside contractors, and coordinating media events.
    • Experience using social media campaigns to reach target audiences.
    • Strong familiarity with and/or interest in the health care and technology sectors.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Day-to-day management of client projects and initiatives, including working closely with client representatives to implement communications programs.
    • Representing the client to media and other stakeholders, including serving as an on-the-record spokesperson as needed.
    • Supervising junior staff and contractors, and coordinating with Crosscut Strategies senior team.
    • Developing and implementing comprehensive media strategies to support client goals – including public policy campaigns, corporate communications and B2B campaigns, consumer media engagement, and other initiatives.
    • Drafting and editing press releases, fact sheets, speeches, talking points, presentations, strategy memos, and other communications documents.
    • Researching issues, policy developments, and media coverage of targeted topics, and distilling this research into clear, concise memos and reports for clients.
    • Participating in new business development, including research and proposal preparation.
    • Proposing creative ideas for helping clients achieve their goals
    • Analyzing media coverage to identify opportunities and potential risks for clients.
