    Overview
    NHIA is looking for a dynamic, self-directed Marketing Communications Manager to promote national trade association that represents companies that provide infusion and specialty pharmacy products and services to home-based patients. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience with excellent writing skills that can be used across print, electronic and digital media and thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Marketing Communications Manager will plan, develop, and execute strategic communications activities to promote association and its products, programs, and services to members and external stakeholders through print, electronic, and digital media. Responsibilities include:

    • Write copy for e-blasts, social media, web, conference materials, blogs, news releases, speeches, talking points, and association magazine articles in support of association’s communication strategies.
    • Promote association’s annual conference by developing a marketing plan to grow conference attendance; producing print, electronic, and digital promotional materials including a preliminary program, onsite program, e-blasts, internal and external advertisements; and managing an external telemarketer to promote conference attendance.
    • Develop, execute, and assess innovative, results-oriented digital marketing strategy, particularly to expand the association’s digital footprint on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This includes managing day to day social media posts, maintaining a social media calendar, and reporting on performance.
    • Manage and coordinate the promotion and production of the association’s webinar series and explore opportunities to partner with like-minded groups to generate revenue.
    • Develop and post web content as part of an integrated communications strategy.
    • Support press and media relations activities through the development of news releases, letters to the editor, op-eds, talking points, and other materials.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field and 3-5 years of communications experience, preferably in healthcare.
    • Exceptional writing and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to details is a MUST. This includes a demonstrated ability to write creative copy for promotional ads, magazine articles, blogs, social media content, speeches, and other materials that engage, educate, and motivate targeted audiences across all channels.
    • Demonstrated success in implementing highly creative digital strategy and social media campaigns that elevate awareness of organization and engage, inform, inspire and motivate.
    • Superior project management skills with the ability to deliver results on time and quality.
    • Knowledge of principles and practices of effective website design with hands-on experience and proficiency using latest content management systems to edit or publish web content.
    • Strong work ethic. Willing to put in the hours necessary to accomplish tasks and meet all deadlines.

    Squared Communications, a boutique public relations firm based in Washington, D.C., is looking for a self-motivated intern interested in learning all aspects of the public relations field. Ideally, this candidate would start in February and the position is full time.
