Politics and Prose - Website & Online Marketing Manager

Politics and Prose bookstore is looking for a website and online marketing manager. The position involves managing and updating website content, designing new pages, and assisting with the creation of promotional content. Please note that this is a technically oriented position – HTML and CMS experience is a must, as is the willingness to pick up new technical skills. Graphic design experience is preferable. Depending on the experience of candidates applying, this manager may also be asked to create original artwork for promotion and decoration, develop branding for new initiatives and series, and produce and deploy ads, posters, newsletters, and other digital/print materials.

Other requirements for this position include: excellent attention to detail; creative problem solving and a willingness to seek out and learn new technical skills; ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate across multiple departments; and ability to work independently and meet deadlines on multiple projects. Preferred are: familiarity with Drupal, mobile design, javascript, CSS, and php, and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Experience with Mailchimp a plus.
