This is not an entry-level position. We seek an experienced professional who can catch errors and inconsistencies followingthorough substantive review and editing by subject matter experts. The proofreader also will be responsible for applying formatting conventions such as consistent hierarchies of headings, subheadings, and bullets; logo placement; the insertion of footers; and the design of covers and tables of contents.

Qualifications include:

-- Proven proofreading skills and compulsive attention to detail.
-- Familiarity with AP, Chicago, and GPO styles (at a minimum, recognizing when to double-check capitalization, punctuation, and other conventions of each style guide).
