JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
SocialCode’s Communications Manager, who reports to the Director of Marketing, will lead the company’s public relations strategy, driving to increase positive media and industry attention. This person will serve as the primary information source for all media contacts requesting data and insights. The Communications Manager will also establish processes to develop company news and to promote it to support product introduction, service offerings, and thought leadership. Responsibilities include: writing press materials, leading media outreach, coordinating media events and tours, managing crisis communications, and writing content for Facebook, Twitter and company blogs.
Target publications include advertising industry publications, social media, business, and national publications.
SKILLS REQUIRED
o Strong written and verbal communications skills
o 4+ years experience in media relations, ideally within an agency or technology company
o Proven ability to work with print, broadcast, online press and bloggers to develop and place a wide variety of consumer and trade stories.
o Self-starter with a positive attitude who will work proactively in a fast-paced team environment – interested in working toward the shared success of the company
