Purpose: Provide comprehensive production, research and administrative support to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's North America Bureau Chief and Correspondents to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the bureau.
Key Accountabilities:
-- Produce and research a wide variety of news and current affairs content for all ABC News platform types (TV, Radio and Online) with depth, immediacy and accuracy.
-- Regularly propose and develop original story ideas.
-- Conduct interviews for other journalists as required.
-- Work as directed by the Bureau Chief and Correspondents in achieving these objectives.
-- Support the Bureau Chief and correspondents in actively expanding the ABC’s Online and Digital News coverage.
-- Actively promote and apply all relevant policies and guidelines including Editorial Policies, Equity and Diversity and WHS.
